Object Lesson #11 I’M OUT! – DUCKY Now that we are getting closer to the end of this term, I decided to search for a Meme that relates. There were quite a few options out there, but I found this one brought a smile to my face, immediately after reading it. We all feel this way at one time or another, and especially when it gets closer to the end of each term. One more term down, and ‘I’m out!’ With all of us here for a reason, each term represents one step closer to accomplishing our goals. However, we do not conquer every battle we take on; despite this we should always give things our best. I wish everyone the best of luck, I have enjoyed and learned a lot from this course, but “Fuck this shit!!! I’m out!”

Object Lesson #10 “Whenever you’re feeling down….” This is a meme that I found, searching through after dark meme’s. The after dark meme’s are a little more vulgar, but it is a guaranteed laugh. This meme remind me of high school, those days were a little different for me considering I attended a private school until my freshman year in high school. So I didn’t even get a chance to hear any jokes until then, and one of the first I heard was this one. It’s funny, because even as an adult I sometimes think of this saying, and it always gives me a little chuckle.

Object Lesson #9 Happee I decided to try looking for meme’s from a different search engine, so I used ask. I got a lot of the same pictures from my previous Google searches. But when I came across this picture it immediately put a smile on my face, how could it not. It reminds me to show when I’m happy. This kitten is adorable, and its facial expression says it all.

Object Lesson #8 Stuck Inside This week I decided that I was going to choose some kind of picture that has to do with the outdoors. The Object lessons that we saw from professor Lashley’s previous writing class, was a picture of scenery, and I love scenery. So I decided that I would Google, beautiful scenery with fishing, and this is where my search began. I actually originally wanted to look for this particular kind of picture, because we are starting to have better weather, and I have been stuck inside. We have a boat that we finished restoring a couple of years ago, and now every summer we try and get it to the water as much as possible. Not having the chance to take it out yet has had my mind wandering. I only started fishing about five years ago, but ever since I started I love it! Some might say that I’m addicted, but I’m able to get out of the house. Getting out, and being able to do something that I love, helps me clear my mind. I think about it a lot, because being able to get out of the ‘everyday routine of life’ can really help to keep me focused and on track. Everyone needs to have their ‘little escape’ from life every now and again.

Object Lesson #7  Don’t shit a brick I found this picture when I was searching under the meme generator. This picture immediately caught my attention, and I had to use it. This picture says a lot. There are people that take things to far, they are full of drama or are just really opinionated about something they don’t understand. It’s good to be opinionated, but some things you have to experience before you can put your two cents in. Life is too short, and people should just try to enjoy it while they have it. Object Lesson #6 Customer Service I now have quite a few meme’s saved in my pictures folder, but I still decided to search for a new one. I Googled ‘hilarious meme’s’ and searched under images. This one caught my attention because I have worked the majority of my life building aircraft, but when I was laid off and the company shut down it was time to search for new work. I found myself in several customer service positions, because I love to work with people. But there are so many people out there that work in Customer Service and hate the job. It’s a funny topic to joke about, but when people really do blow you off despite it being their job, it becomes extremely frustrating.

Object Lesson #4 John Wayne Gacy and a polotician I was searching online and during my google search I chose this picture, since we are on the topic of politics. I am definately a person to avoid politics but given the chance to make fun of, mock, or just laugh at them, that I will do. There are a lot of people that get very into politics, I try to give my opinion and do what I think is best, but its hard when you hardly ever see any real results (at least at my level). Politics have done some good things, but of course like anything else ‘cant win them all.’ I have seen and heard a lot about John Wayne Gacy, he is a very messed up man. When I saw him in this picture and it looks like no one even notices the ‘clown in the room’ it made me laugh out loud. It shows the dark side of politics, it shows ‘it is what it is’ but it all dapends on how you want to look at things…

Object Lesson #3 Spiders I thought about doing my object lesson number three on monday but didn’t feel like I had a picture that I really wanted to use yet. So I slacked and waited. When I went to visit a friend that I hadn’t seen in a long time, I discovered she had a new friend a very large, ugly, creepy, hairy spider. Knowing and trusting my friend I watched her hold the spider and decided to over-come my fear and I held the spider! I have pictures to prove it. Some times things seem really scary or impossible but if you put your mind to something you can accomplish just about anything.

I chose this picture because one thing that I have never liked, small or big…is spiders. But knowing that I have this fear I knew that I would some day need to over-come it.
